Description

A hollow beam of 230 x 160 x 55 cm is installed through the long window of the
central entrance with its outside edge equal to the absolute outside border of the building. This hollow volume floats at 10 cm above the floor of the central entrance.
On the street side of the building, the volume has an opening which creates an accessible interior in the volume.
The interior of the volume is therefore always accessible for everyone.
The volume can be used in the central entrance of the building as a small stage and as seating.

To be used materials (also see plan)

For the surface of the volume I foresee 2 options:

+ epoxy, smooth finishing, black outside and light-grey inside
+ steel, black powder paint outside and galvanised inside

Constructively I foresee a steel or aluminium construction, the partitions
are isolated and the horizontal areas are reinforced with plywood for a
better weight partitioning when used.
